Babysitter Certification Training

Certified foster care babysitters are in short supply. The certification process can be confusing, time-consuming, and expensive, which presents an obstacle to supporting foster families.

We want to make babysitter certification as painless as possible. Our Babysitter Certification Training is a stream-lined, multi-agency certification course to equip you to serve families in your community!

The Process

Our certification process covers the basic training and documentation required to babysit foster children (except for fingerprinting). Topics include medication, transportation, trauma-informed care, and CPR, First Aid, & AED. Prior to registering, please read through our list of Frequently Asked Questions.

All documentation and training modules are completed through a secure online portal, aside from CPR, First Aid, & AED training which is done in-person. All background checks and fingerprints are processed by the certifying agency upon completion of the training.,

Step 1: Complete the form on this page.

In response, we will email you a link to a secure online portal, Binti, where you will access your application and training content.

Step 2: Complete the Babysitter Application paperwork.

Step 4: Complete CPR, First Aid & AED Training

A CPR, First Aid & AED training option is available, in the platform, to babysitters at a discounted rate with a local CPR instructor. This training may be completed elsewhere but must cover all required components. If you have a question about a current card, please email

Step 5: Submit your application.

Your full application will be sent over to your foster family’s agency for processing.

Step 6: Get fingerprinted.
