Connecting, equipping, and mobilizing churches to meet the needs of families in their congregation and neighborhood.

Church Mobilization

Many churches in Houston want to support vulnerable children and families in their community. With guidance, churches can bring hope and healing to their communities in an effective, sustainable way.

Church Mobilization equips churches with resources, training, and partnerships that enable them to serve these families and bless their communities.

MOBILIZE YOUR CHURCH

Quote from church leader

"I am beyond grateful for The Riverside Project and its passionate leaders.  We are now poised to find our place along the “river” after the training and resources we received and the encouragement from the incredible staff.  Pastors and church leaders, you’ve got to connect with The Riverside Project and support this amazing work!  As the Church,  let’s do something.  The kids and families across our great city need us."

The Response Network

Families involved with the foster care system often struggle to access the support they need.

The Response Network collaborates with DFPS and other agencies to connect vulnerable families with the resources and relationships they need to thrive.

JOIN THE NETWORK

Quote from a family served

"It's unfortunate, but if CPS had never been called, I would have never had access to the resources that I needed. I would've never met you (the church) or The Riverside Project."

Harris County TBRI® Collaborative

Many children involved in foster care have experienced trauma that has impacted their ability to trust.

The Harris County TBRI® Collaborative helps professionals & caregivers build trust and meet the unique needs of children with a history of complex, developmental trauma.

ATTEND TBRI® TRAINING

Quote from TBRI® training participant

"This is beautiful because were talking about humans who were born for a reason, and that reason was for relationship. The reflection in what I'm learning is that we too are in this type of situation as adults. You minister to your children but you are also being ministered to by them at the same time, if you have the right mindset."

Certifying babysitters to provide childcare for foster families.

Babysitter Training

Certified foster care babysitters are in short supply, due to a complex certification process.

We offer a streamlined, multi-agency certification course that makes babysitter certification as easy as possible for both babysitters and agencies.

BECOME A CERTIFIED BABYSITTER

Quote from a foster family
